Independence is a thing that should be very grateful, because with the freedom we can get the maximum opportunity to develop and express ourselves, and could eventually participate in advancing the nation. There are many ways that can be used to express the freedom, either individually or in groups.

On August 17, 2016, which coincided with the 71 years of Independence of Indonesia, the whole community of Gonzaga College High School and Minor Seminary Wacana Bhakti also participated celebrating the independence anniversary. There were many events organized, ranging from a flag ceremony followed by the community of Gonzaga College High School and Minor Seminary Wacana Bhakti, which was then followed by various events and competitions, including basketball, “fashion show”, chicken catching contest, and others. All these activities become an opportunity to express and increase solidarity among all members of the community.
